John
started his racing career by racing BMX bikes all over
Ontario and New York. He will tell you right off the
bat that “Yes, I was in good shape once”. His
fitness and competitive streak took him to great
success. He won 50 trophies in one year and ranked
72nd internationally.
In
1987 John started racing Go-Karts in St. Thomas,
Ontario. By 1992 he had claimed his first
championship. Micro Sprint racing was the next step in
1994. John competed at both the Wonderland Speedway
and the Wilton Grove Speedway.
In
2004 John found himself behind the wheel of a full
sized sprint car with the Southern Ontario Sprints.
During that season he was able to start 2 races before
losing an engine and being sidelined for the season.
The following year John would make his mark in a 360
sprint car by posting four top 5 finishes on his way
to capturing the 2005 SOS Rookie of the Year title.
